Art of Language

Images and words go hand in hand as modes of communication. For that very reason, when I am not inspired to draw, I write to draw images in the mind. It’s important to hone the creative prowess of the mind so we’re not limited to the reality we can be creating.

J MOCHA CAFE

A zine I made for a cafe that comforted me through my college years post-quarantine (2022).

The architecture of my mind admires the architecture of the tangible and wishes itself more life than a dream but still the mysticism of one. It is because of this admiration turned obsession that a crazed mind becomes abundant enough to take on the world. Am I intimidated? Yes. But will I do it anyways? Heck yeah. I design the limits of my mind and soon enough all my discomfort will become like breathing. Overcome and admire the view from beyond because there will always be more.

Passage of Time

It is unfortunate that this cafe is no longer around and like many shops worn away by the state of the economy, it is replaced indefinitely. I would only learn with time the power of community when people seek to grow each other and not step on themselves to get ahead. We’re all abundant enough to make a change that takes all of us to the future. Let not the past hold us in its nulling embrace, but inspire us to make real for our younger self that dreams are a calling to a very real future.
